Most families are not sure who to call first. In practice the opening three steps are these: reach whoever is there and knows the actual circumstances; write down the contact details of the hospital or police handling the case; find out where the passport of the person who died is being kept.
Before you start gathering paperwork, one call to us is worth making. We will tell you which documents that particular country requires and which office issues them, which saves a good deal of wasted effort. Our phone is answered day and night, weekends and holidays included.
We coordinate each stage — from the country abroad to the Georgian airport and the family.

We gather the death certificate, embalming certificate and other required documents, and arrange their translation and certification.

We meet the deceased at Tbilisi or another airport and transfer them by special hearse to the place designated by the family.
If desired, we continue the service — memorial ceremony, coffin and full funeral arrangements in Georgia.
The person who is there or nearby, since they can confirm where the deceased is and which authority is handling the case. Then call us, and we will build the document list together for that specific country.
The passport of the person who died or a copy of it, a birth certificate, and a Georgian ID card if there is one. If the originals are abroad, a photograph is enough at this early stage; the rest is arranged on site.
Choosing between burial and cremation is not required on the first day, but it is best settled within the first few days, because it determines which documents are needed. Cremation cost is agreed individually.
